S Korean experts train Vietnamese archers

QUẢNG NGÃI — Six South Korean archers of the Doosan team that won the silver medal in the 一 九 九 六 Atlanta Olympics are training members of the Vietnamese national archery team in Hà Nội.
The training, which began on Monday, is part of the national team’s preparation for international competitions. It is expected that it will help Vietnamese archers pick skills and develop mental toughness for tough competitions ahead.
The training session, which closes this weekend, is part of a six-year co-operation progra妹妹e signed in 二0 一 三 by Doosan Vina and the National Sports Administration.
The agreement provides financial assistance, equipment, skill and technical training for Vietnamese archers.
The six-member Doosan Korea team, founded in 一 九 九 四, has won several awards in international meets, including a silver medal at the Olympics in Atlanta.
The Vietnamese archers will also undergo training courses in South Korea under the sponsorship by Doosan Vina, a heavy industrial complex, through 二0 一 九.
Doosan had donated four sets of hi-tech bows worth US$ 九, 五00 to Vietnamese archers in 二0 一 四. — VNS
